Blake Stimson is an internationally recognized specialist in contemporary art, critical theory, and the history of photography. He has written for Art Journal, Art Bulletin, Artforum, October, Texte zur Kunst, Oxford Art Journal, and Third Text, among others. His work has been translated into French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Polish, Serbian, Chinese, Korean and Farsi. He is the author The Pivot of the World: Photography and Its Nation and Citizen Warhol and co-editor of five volumes that focus on various junctures of art and political subjectivity.
